Big Daddy’s diner in Fremont, California was a legendary local institution. This weekend marked the end of another local institution, the Mudpuddle shop in Niles, where Michael McNevin has held court serving up original songs and presiding over music circles for a couple of decades. How appropriate that this was one of the songs that got played yesterday, on the last day of the Mudpuddle: Michael’s song about Big Daddy‘s diner in Fremont closing down. ![]()
